COVID-19 Information

PRACTICE HEALTHY HABITS

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before eating, after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing, and certainly if your commute includes public transit.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently-touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if your hands are visibly dirty.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

GENERAL RESOURCES

STUDENTS/STAFF WHO TEST POSITIVE

Use the guide below to determine whether an individual has COVID-consistent symptoms and whether to stay home. If a student has tested positive for COVID, inform the division nurse and division assistant, as you would for any other absence due to illness. Faculty/staff should inform their supervisor. Click on the CDC link above for information regarding mandatory isolation due to a positive COVID test (WIS is following CDC recommendations).
