Washington Post: Washington International boys, Sidwell Friends girls win DCSAA soccer titles, 11-2025
By beating the Cadets, 4-3, on penalties after a scoreless tie, Washington International earned its first D.C. state title since 2016 and concluded a dominant 19-2 season in which it outscored opponents 122-16. Freshman goalkeeper Connor Walitsky-Oliver saved the first penalty kick from St. John’s, and the Cadets’ fifth kick hit the cross bar. Conversions from senior forward Brown Huffard, senior forward Kyle Bell, senior defender Bramm Rubin and junior midfielder Benji Kurtzig gave the Red Devils the victory. ...
