At WIS, philanthropy is not about covering what tuition should. It is about strengthening what makes this community extraordinary, and each year we invite our entire community to be part of that through the Annual Fund. These gifts support financial aid, faculty development, and programs and experiences that enrich student life, helping WIS remain exceptional, globally minded, and accessible to students from a wide range of backgrounds. Every gift, at every level, is a meaningful expression of partnership and belief in the school.
The Annual Fund is the school's top fundraising priority and the way most families take part. Because it is unrestricted, your gift reaches this year's budget and goes where WIS needs it most.

61 Years
WIS marks its 61st year in 2026-2027. In the French anniversary tradition, the 61st is the plane tree anniversary, a tree long associated with strength and longevity. Three plane trees grow on our campus, and they inspired the theme of this year's Annual Fund.

| What is the annual fund? |

| The Annual Fund is a vital part of WIS's overall budget, extending our reach beyond what tuition alone can cover. Your gift allows WIS to invest further in our campus, in teacher professional development, in financial aid, and in the field trips, guest speakers, and community events that round out a WIS education. |
| How much should I give, and when? |
| We ask every family to give at a level that feels meaningful to them, and to do so as early in the year as they're able. Our goal is 100% family participation by November 1, though we welcome and appreciate gifts at any point in the year. A monthly or quarterly recurring gift is also available, if that suits your family better. |
| Why do I hear from WIS about giving more than once a year? |
| Throughout the year, you'll see a few different moments built around the Annual Fund: our Fall Appeal in September and Giving Days in October. Each is simply another opportunity to take part in the same effort, and together they help us reach full participation. |
| Who participates? |
| Parents, alumni, teachers, grandparents, and friends of WIS give each year, each at the level that feels right for them. |
| Can I choose where my gift goes? |
| Most families choose to give to general use, which allows WIS to direct support where it's needed most, financial aid included. If you'd prefer your gift to support something specific, simply note on the form that when you give. For those looking to support financial aid directly, the Evening for Financial Aid on April 17, 2027 is designed for exactly that. |
| Is my gift tax-deductible? |
| Yes, fully. Our giving year runs from July 1 to June 30, and gifts are welcome at any point. |
