Step Right Up! Grade 6 Hosts Booth Day
by Kristen Kullberg, Tregaron Making & Design Initiatives Coordinator
What can you find inside a cardboard box? If you ask our Grade 6 students, the answer is: an entire world of possibilities!
Over the past few weeks, Grade 6 makers have been busy transforming cardboard boxes into imaginative, interactive booths, each with its own purpose and personality. From the Helpful Fairy Booth, where visitors can seek advice, to the Maker Booth, where you can borrow supplies and request projects, each creation offers something unexpected. Visitors can even stop by the Doodle Booth for an eerily spot-on pen-and-ink portrait or visit the Walking Mail Booth to send and receive messages on the go!
With a growing collection of booths ready to welcome visitors, the students decided it was time to share their creations with the wider school community. And so, Booth Day was born!
Through this playful exploration of making, imagination, and community, Grade 6 students have turned simple materials into opportunities for connection, creativity, and a little bit of magic. We can't wait to see where their ideas take them next!
