Tregaron Historic Photos

Washington International School's Middle and Upper Schools are located on the Tregaron Campus. James Parmelee, the original owner of the residential estate he called The Causeway, hired noted architect Charles Platt to design the buildings. Ellen Shipman was the landscape architect. The Parmalees owned the estate until 1940, when Ambassador Joseph Davies and his wife Marjorie Merriweather Post purchased the estate. The photos below are from the Davies era.
