The final session (August 6-10) of WIS Summer Camp 2018 is Transportation Week.
Campers will take daily field trips and travel across the metropolitan Washington, DC area to visit locations related to the theme of agriculture. They will gather images and video to assemble a collaborative film that will be completed by the end of the week and ultimately shared online. There will also be cool-down time at water parks along the way.
Transportation Week Logistics
Camp Hours: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
Buses will depart promptly at 9:00 AM and return to the Primary School no later than 4:45 PM (return to WIS is contingent on weather and traffic). Prior to departure, children will be checked in and grouped by language track and age. Please be prompt; children who are not present at the Primary School at 9:00 AM will not be permitted to join the group. Additionally, it is not possible for parents or guardians to pick campers up at any given destination point; the same number of campers who board the bus in the morning will return to WIS at the end of the day.
All registrations for Transportation Week must be completed by Thursday, August 2 to ensure we have adequate staff, as well enough lunches, and buses.
Age of Participants
Please note that Transportation Week camp is only open for children who are 5 years old by August 6, 2018; children younger than 5 cannot enroll.
A boxed lunch will be available; it will consist of sandwiches Monday through Thursday and pizza on Friday. All lunch registrations for Transportation Week must be submitted by close of business on August 2, 2017.

Extended Day Care (EDC) is included in the fee for week of August 6-10. Children at the Primary School between 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM will engage in organized games and free play until the program closes for the day at 6:00 PM.
