Alumni Leadership Council

The Office of Alumni & Constituent Relations seeks to empower alumni to be of service to each other, the School, and the world. The Alumni Leadership Council, serving as a catalyst for deeper engagement, plays a critical role in the fulfillment of this goal by leading an informed, enthusiastic, involved, and supportive alumni community that spans the globe.

In borrowing the language Joseph Davies used to refer to Tregaron as the estate at “the top of the hill,” the Council’s mandate guides the Members’ work under two major themes: engaging alumni “Beyond the Hill” and supporting the School’s needs “On the Hill.”

Beyond the Hill:

  1. Serve as an ambassador of, and advocate for, the School to the alumni body and other associated constituencies and networks globally.
  2. Help build a global network of volunteers to develop and facilitate engagement activities in major regions.
  3. Connect alumni to each other through common bonds and special interests, and support the School’s philanthropic efforts in Members’ respective regions.
  4. Cultivate and recruit peers to the Council in order to sustain a robust pipeline of alumni candidates.

On the Hill:

  1. Generate ideas for improvements to existing alumni programs and services by advising the Office of Alumni & Constituent Relations on key priorities and major issues.
  2. Support alumni fundraising efforts by advising the Office of Alumni & Constituent Relations in its examination of the process for raising funds among alumni.
  3. Assist with communication to alumni and the broader WIS community on the School’s priorities and directions with alumni.
  4. Work within the school community, including faculty, the University Counseling Office, Admissions, and other relevant campus teams to increase alumni awareness of the School’s activities and priorities.
