Another organization had been growing in parallel with WIS. Dorothy Goodman had been involved with the International Baccalaureate Organization from the beginning, supporting the idea of creating a curriculum that could be offered around the world to geographically mobile families. WIS was the 21st school authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program; Andre Mann was the first WIS graduate to receive an IB Diploma in 1977.
