Passport to Summer

Camp Themes

June 23 – June 27
Around the World
All aboard! Have your tickets ready for planes, trains, and automobiles that take you across wild and exotic lands. The around-the-world journey includes stops in many countries on the seven continents, where students visit famous sites, collect photos,
learn songs, and create crafts and other mementos to record their once-in-a-lifetime travel experience.

June 30 – July 3
Space Station
5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Blast off! Take a seat in our pretend rocket and explore outer space! Learn about astronauts, stars and planets. We’ll make 3-D rockets, a planet mobile, design space bracelets and create a book with our own stories from space!

July 7 – July 11
Jungle Safari
Birds chirping, raindrops falling, monkeys calling, frogs croaking, the rainforest is a noisy place. Investigate the rhythm and patterns of the forest, as you travel to the Amazon. Embark on an African Safari from the plains of the Serengeti to the rainforests of the Congo. Hear traditional folktales, learn songs, create take-home crafts, and more.

July 14 – July 18
Goblins, Fairies, and Wizards
Let your imagination soar through the world of fantasy and live extraordinary adventures with goblins and giants, elves and trolls, fairies and unicorns, enchanted castles, witches and wizards, and other mysterious creatures.

July 21 – July 25
Olympic Games
Why go to Beijing? Just come to WIS and enjoy a week of activities and games from around the world! Each class chooses a real or imaginary country and create flags, costumes, songs and more. The whole week ends with Passport to Summer’s own Olympic Sports Day.

July 28 – August 1
Summer Fest
Summer is the time for festivals, fairs, and carnivals. In this fun-filled session, children learn about traditional festivals and unique celebrations all around the world. The session culminates with a carnival, with moon bounce, dunk tank, music, face painting, and, of course, a barbeque!
