TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Registration and payment
To register for any 2008 Passport to Summer program, please use the attached form or register online. If no form is included, please call WIS at (202) 243-1791, visit www.wis.edu, or email SummerCamp@wis.edu.

Until May 15, a $150 registration fee must accompany the registration form to reserve a space in any program. This non-refundable fee is applied to tuition. Full payment is due no later than June 1, or by the first day of camp. All registrations sent after May 15 or additional enrollment thereafter must include full payment. Fees may be paid by check (payable to Washington International School) or charged to a MasterCard or Visa account. A $25 fee will be assessed for all checks returned by the bank.

All documents and payments must be sent to:
Summer Camp,
Business Office
Washington International School
3100 Macomb Street, NW
Washington DC 20008.

Refunds
Families will be billed and expected to pay for all services indicated on the registration contract whether or not the service has been used. Refunds will be issued for cancellations (from parents or guardians only, please) received in writing before May 15, minus the $150 non-refundable registration fee. Full refunds are only issued if a program is canceled
by WIS. No refunds will be issued for any cancellations after May 15. Make-up days are not available.

Adjustments to Schedules
Changes to program selections or dates will only be accepted until May 15. If space is available, additional weeks or services may be added to the enrollment contract throughout the summer, but none may be subtracted after May 15. All changes must be made in writing using an “Adjustment to Enrollment” form, available by calling WIS at (202) 243-1791.

Student Behavior and Safety
Students are expected to behave appropriately at all times according to the guidelines explained in the camp code of conduct. In matters relating to safety, conduct, and discipline on campus and during camp-sponsored activities, the faculty and staff will act in the place of parents and guardians. WIS reserves the right to exclude a camper temporarily or permanently if it deems this to be in the best interest of the camp or camper.

There will be no refund as a result of a camper’s expulsion. If no individual listed on the Emergency Medical Treatment Form can be reached during a medical emergency, WIS personnel will take appropriate action in accordance with other information provided on the form, which must be completed and submitted with the Registration Form.

Tuition and fees
Please refer to the registration form for tuition, fees, and application information.
