Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is lunch provided?
A: No, campers should bring their own lunch. Three- to five-year olds attending half-day camp are encouraged to eat with their friends before departing.

Q: What is the student to teacher ratio?
A: For ages three and four the ratio is five campers per teacher; for ages five to eight, the ratio is eight to one. For ages nine to sixteen, the ratio is ten campers per teacher.

Q: Will my child have time to nap?
A: Children aged three to five have at least 30 minutes of quiet time. No nap time is scheduled for older campers.

Q: How often do campers go swimming?
A: Our three to five year olds enjoy water games on campus; campers ages six to eight swim once (Specialty Camps) or twice (Language Camps) a week at The Lab School of
Washington pool, where the student–teacher ratio is four to one. Tregaron Language Immersion campers go to the pool one afternoon a week.

Q: Can I visit the campus?
A: The Georgetown Camp holds Open Houses on March 8 and April 12, 2008, from 10:30 am–1 pm. No appointment is necessary. After that, or if neither date is convenient, lease
call 202-243-1791 for an appointment. To visit the Tregaron Camp, please call 202-243-1665 for an appointment.

Q: Is financial aid available?
A: Limited financial aid is available and application must be made by March 31. Please call 202-243-1791 to request the
necessary documents.
