Arts at WIS

Aesthetic development is an essential aspect of a child's learning experience. At WIS, we provide many opportunities for students to explore their own creativity and learn to appreciate artistic expression in the visual arts, music, and drama. The arts are indeed a core piece of the International Baccalaureate curricula at all levels of the School's program.

"WIS has been perceived in the community as ...a cultural experience. In fact, it has a..rigorous and coherent curriculum. But the most meaningful, the most heartfelt comments we hear are those from parents whose kids are of an artistic bent. They have almost universally felt that the school was critical in their artistic development and their commitment to the arts." Greg Schmidt, chair, WIS Board of Trustees
