Application Procedures

The application deadline for the 2017-2018 academic year is January 5, 2017. Please download a Checklist by Grade (available to the right) for specific application requirements by grade. The general requirements are listed below:

Once the decision is made to apply to WIS, the following will be needed: 

  • Application Form
  • Application Fee $75 ($50 for re-applicants, $25 for financial aid applicants) 
  • Parent Questionnaire
  • Applicant Statement (Grade 6 and above)
  • School Recommendations (waived for applicants to Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten who have not attended pre-school)
  • Current School Reports/Grades (applicants to Grade 1 and above)
  • School Reports/Grades for the Past Year (applicants to Grade 2 and above)
  • WPPSI-IV or WPPSI-III Testing (applicants to Pre-K, Kindergarten and Grade 1)
  • WISC-IV Testing (applicants to Grades 2-5)
  • WIS-administered Admissions Testing (applicants to Grade 1 and above)
  • Applicant Visit/Playgroup (applicants to Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten)
  • Classroom Visits (applicants to Grades 6-11; casual school attire)
  • Applicant Skype Interview (Grade 6 and above)

You may choose to supplement the application by submitting the following (optional):

  • Teacher Evaluation/Assessments (applicants to Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten)
  • Standardized Testing Results
  • WPSSI-IV or WPPSI-III (applicants to Preschool)
  • Supplemental Teacher Recommendations    

WIS Admissions Portal

WIS has developed an online Admissions Portal which will allow you to manage the application process electronically. The portal will allow you to submit an application, schedule appointments, upload required reports, and request required documents.

The portal is located at http://wis.schooladminonline.com/portal. To start the process, parents should create an account using their name and email. Once the parent account has been established, parents can submit and track applications for one or more children.
