ELAINA BERRES, Upper School Biology/Middle School Science Teacher
Prior to her arrival at WIS in 2016, Ms. Berres spent more than a decade teaching at public schools in Maryland. Among other projects, she facilitated six international “Save the Rainforest” environmental trips for high school students to countries including Belize, Costa Rica, the British Virgin Islands, and Honduras. As an undergraduate at Albion College, Ms. Berres double majored in biology and environmental science. She went on to obtain an M.Ed in secondary education and two graduate certificates: one in professional teaching standards from The George Washington University and the other in educational administration and supervision from Towson University.
