University Counseling

The goal of the university counseling office is for students to apply, be accepted, and ultimately attend a college or university where they will be both academically successful and socially happy. We firmly believe there are a number of outstanding choices that will represent the right university for each student.

Central to the counseling process are the students. Through open communication and investigation we want them to formulate and articulate clear hopes and desires, engage enthusiastically in the college search, and meet deadlines responsibly. Parental support also plays an important part in the decision making.

The move to higher education is an exciting time. Our role, as university counselors, is to guide, counsel, suggest and inform. We look forward to working closely with both students and parents throughout the process.

At the 2012 Graduation Ceremony, Ellie Walton, WIS class of 2000, charmed audiences with her thoughtful and inspirational speech.
